The WA All Abilities Football Association is delighted to announce a new partnership with Channel 7 Telethon Trust to support visitations to Special Education Schools in 2023 to promote all abilities footy.
The Telethon grant will allow WAAAFA to employ a specialist to visit schools and run football sessions for children with disability and leave them (and their carers) some information on how they can get involved with local football programs.
“Staying active is important for all kids and football is a great vehicle to keep young people motivated and moving” said WAAAFA Executive Officer Hayden Marchetto.
“This grant will help us get disability football to kids at special education schools that most need it, and we are hoping it not only brings a smile to their faces, but also gets them engaged with their local footy club.” he said.
Sessions have already started.
